Here is 10 ways in which an A-Level student can do to make a brilliant music video:
- Research - What is a music video and how the lyrics of the song matches the visuals of the music video.
- Getting in a group - Choose who you work with the best to make sure you and them get the bests possible grade for your work.
- Choosing a track - Pick a song in which you can work which you can gain the most ideas from to put in your music video.
- The Pitch - Gain a lot of ideas for the song to put in your finished practical work.
- Look at previous student work - Look at how previous students did their music videos and learn from it by looking at what they did well and what to improve or avoid in your work.
- Planning and shooting - Timescale is critical here as you have to storyboard your ideas down and plan when to shot each scene in time before the deadline.
- Editing - Load your work into an editing software and look at what footage is the best to be put into your music video.
- Screening and Feedback - Make sure you can get feedback from others in which they can tell you what is good and what to improve at before you meet the deadline.
- Writing - Make sure you are meeting the A-Level specification according by your teachers that this needs to be do at the planning, shooting and editing stages and shouldn't be done at the last minute.
- Marking - Leave this to your teachers and look towards at receiving a good grade for your music video.
